Give & Take Re-Release.
Hi there folks,
As promised in an earlier e-mail I am releasing an extremely
limited batch of my out of print first album, Give & Take.
Only 50 copies will be made in this batch, and I'm not sure
if I will ever make another batch. So if you want one, now
this is the time.
Go to Grinding Tapes Recording
Co. right now and order it! They will be shipped out
on Dec. 4th just in time for Christmas!
(Also my birthday.)
Also, even though I won't be playing any shows for a while,
I am making a radio appearance on Nov. 29th, 10am-noon on
WMFO in Cambridge, MA. I believe you can also listen online
worldwide. It will be a performance/interview.
Thanks for being so awesome,

Pre-Order
the Secret Campfire Recording Now!
Grinding Tapes is releasing an extremely limited
pressing of the Secret Campfire Recording. Only 25 handmade
copies! We're expecting them to go quick, so if you want one,
you'd better pre-order it now while you still can. There are
2 extra songs on the cd that aren't available for download.
One is "All Hail Allie Morgan, Queen of Maine!,"
and the other is "Shadowlands." Also, this show
includes the only known recording of "Mirrors and Duct
Tape," a song that I've been trying to kill for years
now.
So, go on over to GrindingTapes.org
and download the show while you still can, and make sure that
if you want the whole ordeal that you pre-order the already
super rare release. Also, I'm only somewhat certain that there
are a few GT Promo Disc #1's left at GT's store. There were
only 200 made. You might want one of those handmade rarities
too while you're at it. It includes music by StJH and me.
The only other way to get one is to spend 10$ or more at www.eliandra.com
during Sept.
On another note, thanks for being a good audience
tonight. It makes me happy.
kindly,
elijahwyman

Live mp3 posted...because I love you.
Playing with Kind of Like Spitting.
Grinding
Tapes has set up a new section called Rarities of the
Month. Each month they host a few rare or live mp3's of artists
they put out or love. This month Saint Joe Hazelwood and I
both have live mp3's posted. Check 'em out, sign up for GT's
e-mail list, and buy StJH's EP...it's good.
The mp3 of mine that is up this month is called
Kingdom of Kings and was recorded by Jason Rozen on a mini-disc
recorder at The Middle East Up in Cambridge, MA. Check it
out. Get ready for a nice prelude of banter though!
Also, I'll be playing with Kind of Like Spitting
in Sept. This is awesome because I very much enjoy KOLS's
music.
See you at a show!

I Want to Write a Song Named and Themed After You.
Hey there,
I'm starting a new project for the month of July where every
week I write and record a song named and themed after a random
person's story. If you have a great story and think it would
be awesome to have a song named and themed
in your likeness, this could be a lot of fun for you.
So here's how it works. You send me an e-mail either telling
me about yourself or a something that happened to you. I'll
read all the submissions and choose one. Every Sat. in July
a new song will be posted for free to download on www.GrindingTapes.org.
So, by the end of July, there will be 5 songs about 5 different
people. If you're chosen, a lot of people will be able to
sing along to your life! You might even adopt it as your theme
song! Please include as much detail and background information
as you have. It will give your story a better chance at getting
picked and make it easier for me to write a good song about
you.
Thanks for reading this, and I hope to be reading about your
life soon!
-elijahwyman.

Playing w/ Denison Witmer this Thursday in NH!
Hey there,
If you're already a fan of Denison
Witmer, you know how cool this show will be, if not, check
him out. He's a great songwriter who is friends with and has
toured with the likes of Sufjan Stevens, Damien Jurado, and
a bunch of other great folks. The info for the show is on
my shows page.
Also, you'll notice that more shows are being
booked again...check back often especially if you're in the
New England area. Also, if you're in a state like NJ, NY etc.
and want me to book a show, send me an e-mail. I'd love to
talk with you about it.
Hopefully I'll see you Thursday!

Look Out for Shows Again Thanks to Procrit!
WWNGS is on i-tunes.
Song in the New Copperpress.
Ringtones
Hello,
You may have noticed that I've been distant
lately. It's not that I don't like you. The truth is that
I've been sick. I've been updating my webblog
a bit more frequently on things like that if you're interested.
Thanks to everyone who's been praying for me. But, my condition
is less volatile than it was, so I'm now booking shows for
the summer.
Other cool news is that the label that released WWNGS on vinyl
is finally getting a website. So, go on over and pay Grinding
Tapes Recording Co. a visit soon. They tell me a working
site should be up within a week. They are great folks who've
supported me in countless ways over the years. Check out some
of the other great artists that they have including my good
friends in Saint
Joe Hazelwood.
Also, My Blood Will Cry Out to You is included
on a compilation that came out in the new issue or Copper
Press. Looks like a good one with artists like The Long Winters,
Devandra Barhart, Appleseed Cast, Arab Strap and way more...I
think you can pick it up at big, boring bookstores like Borders.
Annnnd, there are some sweet EW ringtones for sale. You can
find a link on Blue
Duck's Store.
Kindly,
-elijahwyman.
p.s. If for some reason you like mp3's better
than records, you can download WWNGS on i-tunes now.

Things are a bit different now...
Plus I have a weblog full of raggedy poems and thoughts.
Hi there,
Well, the little lady and I are packing up
and moving on. So long Danvers. But don't fret; we're not
headed too far. We're moving to Cambridge, MA. It'll be nice
to be in the city...I hope.
Other than that check out my new weblog. (I'm
boycotting the word blog) It's here. It's a bit of a dumping
ground for notes on scraps of paper and half written poems.
I'm not promising much, but perhaps you'll find something
interesting in it. I'd love if you wanted to comment.
Hearts,
-elijahwyman.
p.s. elijah wyman is a sellout. i heard he
accepts credit cards.

Hospital... and WWNGS on Pre-Order Now!
Hello,
I spent the better part of this week in the
ICU at Salem Hospital because my blood pressure was 209/125.
If like I, until recently, you have no idea what that means,
if I hadn't caught it I'd have died in 3-6 months.
So, I'm being tested for all sorts of diseases
and malnormalities, but nothing is changing. The album is
still being released and I shows will only stop over my dead
body...er...well...hmm.
I'm good now. I'm on lots of medication that
keeps my BP normal. I just can't eat much salt or caffeine.
So, thanks for your prayers and letters. It is encouraging
to know that people care.
Go buy the new album here.
Part of the proceeds go towards my obscene medical bills,
Love,
-eli.

Happy New Years friends!
I've changed my e-mail address because for
over a year now I've toiled with 100's of spam mails in my
inbox a day or late and even undelivered e-mails. Hooray!
So, forget the professionalism of having my address be @elijahwyman.com,
I'm opting for the reliability of Gmail.
If you want to get a hold of me to say hi or
book me for a show, type to ElijahWyman(at sign)Gmail.com.
I'll definately get it this time!
Kindly,

Hey folks,
I posted another song off of my upcoming album Why We Never
Go Swimming and Other Collected Short Stories on MySpace.
It's called Girls Should Drive Automatics. You might recognize
it if you own Give & Take. (a self-released, handmade
album from a few years back currently out of print.) This
time it is re-recorded with some wonderful added instrumentation.
Piano, hammered dulcimer, bass, guitar...it's good. Check
it out! Tell your friends if you care and I hope you do!
Hope you're doing well,
-elijah wyman.
p.s. Happy New Year!
12/25/05
Merry Christmas!
I posted all the lyrics to the new album Why We Never Go Swimming
and Other Collected Short Stories. I also posted many of the
lyrics for Beautiful Like Words for all you who have been
asking about those for the past year. Sorry about the delay!
Check them out in the media section.
Hearts and stars,
-elijah.

Hello,
I've been swamped lately! Rhonda
and I have been working the holiday gift shows, all the while
I'm digging into finals. I'm booking a ton of shows for Feb.
and March so don't fret! I'll be playing in MA, NH, VT, CT,
NY, ME and wherever else I can get my grubby fingers. If you
want to help out with a show please send me an e-mail. Hopefully
I can get to all you neglected states!

Hello friends,
Please visit Epiphany Books on the corner of
Cabott St. and Railroad Ave. in Beverly, MA. They have been
kind enough to take Share
An Umbrella (The bussiness Rhonda and I own) under their
roof while we close our seasonal shop in Salem for the winter.
(Don't worry, we'll re-open in the spring/summer!)
It's a great place to get a gift certificate
for Christmas. Don't buy it at Borders; spend your money where
it makes a difference in real people's lives. Also, next door
a great little record store just opened called Vagrant Records.
Please support local bussiness. It's an easy
way to spread love and kindness. Wal-Mart has enough grubby
patrons. They don't care about you.
Caring nearing obsessing,
-eli.

Hello,
In the words of Jason "Walk of Shame"
Rozen (sp?), last night was, "Simultaneously the best
and worst show ever." Thank you so much for coming out
to the Old Town Hall and helping me sing through my scratchy,
Cash voice. So many MVP's last night. I seriously consider
you all my friends, even if I don't know all your names! (Please
forgive me, I forget names so fast!) I can't speak above a
whisper today, but it was totally worth it.
In other news, I put some pictures up in the
media sections. Some soulfest shots, some TT the Bears, and
one oh so personal and pensive shot of me reading a book...oh
baby. Thanks to Ethan, and Chris Boucher, and Rhonda for taking
those sweet pictures. I'm going to try and put some pictures
of last night up soon, and maybe even a recording of a song
or two from the show. Should be hee-larious.
If you have any pictures or recordings of any
show ever, I'd love to see them. Please send me an e-mail.
Even if you don't, send me an e-mail and say hello. Just,
make your titles obvious, I get crazy spam so anything with
co-eds, valium, refinancing, or viagra (by no means a complete
list) in the title gets thrown in the furnace!
Kindly,
-eli.
